How it Works

The basics of offlight in five questions.

/01

Choose your role

Sign up as Talent, Crew, Director, Producer, Agency, Company, Writer, or Student. Each role gets tools designed around how you actually work, not one generic dashboard for everyone.

/02

Build your profile

Add photos, credits, skills, languages, and availability. Profiles 80% complete get seven times more inquiries. Verified profiles show up first in

/03

Discover work or talent

Talent browse open project calls and apply directly. Hirers post briefs (public or NDA-protected) and search the directory by discipline, location, or skills. No algorithms hiding the right matches.

/04

Connect through inquiries

Reach out — or get reached out to — through structured inquiries. Project name, dates, role, budget, brief. No DMs, no cold emails, no spam. Both sides know exactly what they're agreeing to.

/05

Cast — or get cast

Once both sides agree, the booking is yours. Contracts, fees, releases, and payments stay between you and your collaborator (or your agent). Offlight is the discovery layer — not the legal one.

we accept applications from all over the world

Why we built Offlight

We spent years on both sides of the casting room — the talent side and the hiring side — and noticed the same problem from both ends.

Talent couldn’t reach the people hiring. Hirers couldn’t find the right talent without three layers of gatekeepers in between.

So we built the platform we wished we had.

Still have questions?

We tried to cover the basics here, but every member has their own situation, and the Help Center is where we go deeper.

You’ll find step-by-step guides, common questions about billing and verification, and the things people ask most often before signing up.

And if your question isn’t there, our team reads every email and usually replies within one business day.
